About Kamelot
Norwegian vocalist Roy Khan joined for Siège Perilous (1998) and fronted the band for thirteen years, a period that included Epica (2003) and The Black Halo (2005), concept albums drawing on Goethe's Faust, and Ghost Opera (2007). Khan departed in April 2011, and Swedish singer Tommy Karevik was announced as his replacement in June 2012, debuting on Silverthorn (2012).
Under Karevik, Kamelot has released Haven (2015), The Shadow Theory (2018), and The Awakening (2023), all charting on the Billboard 200, with a further album, Dark Asylum, scheduled for August 2026. The current lineup also includes keyboardist Oliver Palotai, bassist Sean Tibbetts, and drummer Alex Landenburg. The band has released thirteen studio albums and continues to tour internationally.
