Levellers
The Levellers are an English folk rock and anarcho-punk band formed in Brighton in 1988. The current lineup includes founding vocalist and guitarist Mark Chadwick, bassist Jeremy Cunningham, drummer Charlie Heather, violinist Jon Sevink, guitarist and mandolin player Simon Friend, keyboardist Matt Savage, and guitarist Dan Donnelly. The band takes its name from the 17th-century Levellers political movement.

About Levellers
Their breakthrough album, Levelling the Land (1991), reached number 14 on the UK chart, and 1995's Zeitgeist went to number one. Later releases include A Weapon Called the Word (1990), Mouth to Mouth (1997), and We the Collective (2018), which reached number 12. The band won the Roots Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2011.
The Levellers built their reputation through relentless touring and a 1994 performance at Glastonbury Festival estimated to have drawn around 300,000 people, among the largest crowds in the festival's history. Blending folk instrumentation, punk energy, and politically engaged lyrics, the band has remained an independent touring act for more than three decades, continuing to record and perform.
