Prostitute is an American noise rock band formed in 2020 in Dearborn, Michigan, by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Moe Kazra and drummer Andrew Kaster, who became close friends in their youth and started the project while working the same job in their hometown. The lineup expanded to include guitarists Ross Babinski and Bret Wall and bassist Dylan Zaranski.

About Prostitute

The band's sound fuses noise rock with post-hardcore and hardcore punk, drawing on Black Midi, Swans, and Death Grips as reference points alongside Arab, West African, and East Asian musical traditions. Kazra has cited the Stooges' Fun House as a defining influence. Growing up Arab in a heavily Arab-American city shaped the band's subject matter, with Kazra describing a recurring experience of being perceived as a threat regardless of where the members go.

Their debut album, Attempted Martyr, released in October 2024, is a loose concept record in which Kazra adopts the persona of a religious zealot, a device the band has called "a theatricalization of terrorism" aimed at addressing Middle Eastern conflict and Western foreign policy through an exaggerated, confrontational lens. The album drew attention beyond the band's Detroit-area origins, and Prostitute signed to Mute Records in December 2025 ahead of a planned European tour in spring 2026.
