Simon Brodkin was born on 29 September 1977 in Hampstead Garden Suburb, London. He is an English comedian who has performed stand-up since 2004, best known for the chav character Lee Nelson, alongside other comic personas such as Liverpudlian footballer Jason Bent.
His television work includes Lee Nelson's Well Good Show (2010) and Lee Nelson's Well Funny People (2013). Brodkin has drawn wider attention for staging pranks in character at public events, including confrontations with figures such as Sepp Blatter, Donald Trump and Theresa May. In 2019, he performed stand-up as himself for the first time, in the Edinburgh Fringe show 100% Simon Brodkin.
