The Flaming Lips
Formed in Oklahoma City in 1983, The Flaming Lips began as a noisy garage-punk act before evolving into one of American rock's most exploratory bands. Albums such as The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots pushed the group toward lush, orchestrated psychedelia and brought mainstream recognition after nearly two decades together.

About The Flaming Lips
Frontman Wayne Coyne is known for performing inside a giant transparent bubble that rolls out over the crowd, part of a stage show built around balloons, confetti cannons and oversized visual props. The band has won three Grammy Awards, including two for best rock instrumental performance.
