Vana, born Yvonne Winckel in Anaheim, California in 2000 and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, is a singer, songwriter, and musician working across heavy metal, pop rock, and alternative rock. Self-taught on guitar, bass, and production from age 15, she began releasing collaborative material in 2022 before establishing herself as a solo artist.

Her early EPs, Die for Me! (2023) and Trial and Terror (2024), paired dark, confessional lyrics rooted in a Catholic upbringing with metal-leaning production, drawing comparisons to Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with Sirens, and Bring Me the Horizon. Singles including "Beg!" (2024), "Clandestine" (2024), and "Pray" (2025) built on that sound.

Vana signed to Sumerian Records in 2025 and has supported acts including Linkin Park and Set It Off on tour. In April 2026 she launched her first headline tour, The Lady in Red Tour, ahead of a debut album planned for later that year. Alongside touring and recording, she streams on Twitch, where she plays games such as Baldur's Gate 3 to connect with fans between releases.
