Mouscron is a former textile town in Wallonia against the French border, part of the Lille-Tourcoing-Kortrijk conurbation rather than a standalone destination. Its own sights are modest: a moated 15th-century castle, a neo-Gothic town hall and a seven-hectare park, with day trips to Lille or Kortrijk doing the rest.
