31. Rothenburger Meisterkonzert with the Nürnberger Symphoniker

The 31. Rothenburger Meisterkonzert is held on Sunday 06.12.2026 at 18:00 in the Theatersaal im Wildbad, Taubertalweg 42, 91541 Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The Nürnberger Symphoniker perform, appearing for the first time with their Baroque ensemble in the Theatersaal des Wildbads Rothenburg.

The traditional Rothenburger Meisterkonzert is performed every two years in the winter season. The programme centres on Italian music of the Baroque period and includes Georg Friedrich Händel's Concerto grosso D-Dur op. 6, Nr.

5 HWV 323, with I. Larghetto e staccato and II. Allegro; Tomaso Albinoni's Oboenkonzert d-Moll op. 9 Nr.

2; Ottorino Respighi's Antiche Danze ed Arie, Suite Nr. 3; Antonio Vivaldi's Oboenkonzert C-Dur RV 447; and Arcangelo Corelli's Concerto grosso g-Moll op. 8, Weihnachtskonzert.

The oboist Alexander Kronbichler, 2025 Preisträger beim Aeolus Wettbewerb in Düsseldorf, performs as soloist. Matthias Ank conducts; until 2024 he was Kantor and Organist and Kirchenmusikdirektor von St. Lorenz in Nürnberg for almost three decades. Tickets start at 18,00 € and a reduction is available.
