Angst und Schrecken in Mykene at UNI.T, Berlin, 10 Dec 2026

Angst und Schrecken in Mykene is an ensemble project of the third-year acting programme, staged at UNI.T - Theater der UdK Berlin in Berlin on Thursday, 10 December 2026, at 19:00. It is a collaboration with the stage design and costume design programmes and the Jazz Institut of the Universität der Künste Berlin. The text is by Felix Krakau, who was born in 1990 and is a guest student in the Szenisches Schreiben programme at UdK Berlin.

He tells ancient mythology in a laconic, fast-paced way as a story of fate and chance, power and powerlessness, decline and new beginning, and leads into present-day conflicts. Two messengers, condemned to report on the origins and history of the city of Mykene, recount how the ruling house, after disputes among the founding fathers, draws a curse of the gods upon itself, bringing a chain of atrocities in the fight for the crown. The city then asks when and how this can be stopped and what it takes to live together peacefully, justly and cooperatively.

Swaantje Lena Kleff directs. Shirin Javdani designs the stage, Luisa Merz and Ava Mirshahvalad the costumes, and Pascal Jarchow leads the music and composition.

The cast is Kamil Saad Ahmad, Karl-Ishan Barta, Feryal Djavadi, Mia Dräger, Dilan Graf, Anna Kasten, Laila Krüger, Jinwoo Lee, Jenny Ngamou and Kilian Struck. Tickets start at EUR 13.70, and a discount is available.
