The evening is a multi-course menu accompanied by a crime case. In the story, the Polterabend of Madlen and Dennis is meant to be a highlight, and the young couple want to celebrate their upcoming marriage with friends, relatives and colleagues. In the middle of the celebration there is a terrible incident: a guest is murdered.

The bride's father, Hans-Peter Windisch, is a Polizeihauptwachtmeister and hobby hunter, and together with his friend Kriminalkommissar Schimpanski he wants to catch the perpetrator to save his daughter's Polterabend. Guests take up the investigation with a lot of humour.
