Die Ausstellung at Bühne Eyber Straße, Ansbach

The piece asks the audience to imagine steering a play in a particular direction, where every choice has consequences. In the first part, the audience meets a young painter who receives the chance of a lifetime: to present her pictures to a wider public in an exhibition for the very first time. She is supported by the owner of the premises, and an amorous relationship develops.

The story is told from different perspectives, in different rooms and by different people, and the audience follows it from close up. In the second part, the audience decides how the story should end, whether there will be a "Happy End" or whether another path might be the better one. The production draws the audience into a world shaped by the continuing unequal treatment of men and women and the abuse of positions of power.
