Historischer Tastenzauber in Erlangen, 23 January 2027

Historischer Tastenzauber takes place on Saturday 23 January 2027 at 19:00 at the Konzertwerkstatt des Erlanger Musikinstitut e.V., Rathsberger Straße 1-3, 91054 Erlangen. Tickets start at 24,00 €, and a reduced price is available. The organiser is Erlanger Musikinstitut e.V., Rathsbergerstraße 1-3, 91054 Erlangen, Deutschland.

Chiara Nicora and Francesca Rivabene play piano, with Martin Münch as moderator. The programme includes works by Albrechtsberger, Beethoven, Ries, Czerny and Liszt, among others, performed on instruments of the respective era. The concert follows the path of the keyboard instrument up to the modern piano.

It opens with the harpsichord, the instrument for which Bach, Händel, Scarlatti and Vivaldi composed, whose strings are plucked by small quills rather than struck. A Hammerflügel by Neupert follows, a copy of a Viennese instrument of around 1790, with two knee levers for damping and sordino. A Tafelklavier by Schiedmayer from the late 19th century will also be heard, and a Steinway-Flügel will be part of the evening as well.

Martin Münch, the piano maker and tuner, moderates this journey through three centuries of piano making. For screen reader and keyboard users: the seating plan with fixed seats is not accessible; help with booking is available by calling the ticket hotline on 069 427262 680.
