Lesung Alice Hasters

The book is her third, following Was weiße Menschen nicht über Rassismus hören wollen, aber wissen sollten (2019) and Identitätskrise (2023). In it she examines how the meaning of the word "Opfer" has developed and how public discourse has shifted. She describes a cultural change that coincides with a rise in authoritarianism and fascism, and she sets the political strength of connectedness against a new protofascist hardness.

The book came out in April of this year. Ballhaus Naunynstraße in Berlin-Kreuzberg was founded in 2008 by Shemin Langhoff. Since 2013 it has been led by Wagner Carvalho, and its work centres on Black and queer perspectives and perspectives of colour.
