At the entrance, residents of the Halbinsel FDZ must show their Personalausweis, and guests and day guests of the Halbinsel FDZ must show their Gästekarte. Later investigations showed that this so-called "Seebär" had formed far out in the western Ostsee and reached the entire coastal section between Travemünde and the island of Hiddensee. Bernd Goltings, an author from Prerow, describes all reports surrounding this rare flood phenomenon in the talk.
