Podiumsdiskussion - Hatespeech – Wie wehren wir uns? Wer schützt uns? 2026

The Podiumsdiskussion - Hatespeech – Wie wehren wir uns? takes place on Thursday 29 October 2026 at 18:30 at the Mozartareal, Hofstraße 11, 97070 Würzburg, in the Konzertsaal im Mozartareal. Einlass is at 18:00.

On the podium are Prof. Elke Wagner, Professorin für Spezielle Soziologie an der Universität Würzburg, who researches hate communication, hate speech and shitstorms on the internet, and Chan-jo Jun, Rechtsanwalt, who brought several court proceedings against prominent social media managers in the fight against hatespeech. The discussion asks where this anger comes from, how it works, and which legal means actually exist.

Hate speech on the net no longer affects only prominent people, but also young people in class chats and comment columns. Tickets may still be available at the box office.
