Recherchen - Unfitting Moves at Klabauter Theater

For Unfitting Moves the Klabauter Theater becomes a fashion show. At a fashion show people show their bodies and their clothing, and the piece is about how other people see our bodies. The questions it asks are who says how we should move at a fashion show, who decides what is beautiful or unusual, and whether we can invent new rules together.

The work uses personal stories, movements, texts and music, telling of situations in which the participants felt especially visible or invisible, and together they develop a performance from this. At Unfitting Moves there is no need to match a particular idea; the participants invent their own fashion show.

On this catwalk it is not about who fits in, but about how we want to be seen. The event takes place in the rooms of the Klabauter Theater.
