Tarzan - das Musical at Volkswagen Halle Braunschweig

Tarzan - das Musical, staged by Theater Liberi, takes place at Volkswagen Halle Braunschweig in Braunschweig on 13 December 2026, 15:00. Tickets start at 27.00 euros, and a discount is available. The show is for ages 4 and over and runs for 2 hours including a 20-minute interval.

Theater Liberi retells the hundred-year-old story by Edgar Rice Burroughs in a contemporary version. The production uses imaginative costumes, a colourful set and atmospheric lighting effects to create the jungle world. The music moves through several genres.

The story begins when a young family is shipwrecked on the African coast and attacked by wild animals. A small boy is left behind, and the ape Kala takes him in and raises him as her own child. Tarzan finds a friend in the young ape Tee, but the leader Kerchak keeps making him feel that he does not belong.

Things change when Tarzan meets humans for the first time: Professor Porter, his daughter Jane and Olivia Clayton, who are on an expedition to explore the jungle. Tarzan and Jane grow closer, until events turn and danger threatens Tarzan and his ape family.
