VICTORY KID live at Nochtwache, Hamburg

The band blends punk, ska and rock. Victory Kid was founded in 2016 by Harrison Nida and Carlo Ribaux. The band started on the coast of West Los Angeles, where surfing in the morning, rehearsing in the afternoon and fish tacos in the evening were part of the weekly routine of the early days, when they played in local clubs such as the Whisky a Go Go, The Hi Hat, Hotel Cafe and many others.

In 2017 they recorded their debut album "Discernation" with Allan Hessler, with horn arrangements by Matt Appleton. "Discernation" was signed by SBÄM Records in 2020. After years of refining their sound and regional touring, the band went on extensive European tours, including with Zebrahead, Mad Caddies and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and played festivals as support for bands such as Rancid, Dropkick Murphys and Bowling For Soup.

The old Nochtspeicher in Hamburg has open brick walls and old wooden beams. The 160-year-old Nochtspeicher, near the Landungsbrücken, formerly served as a Schnapsbrennerei and Erotic-Art Museum; today live concerts and events of all kinds take place there. The Nochtwache is located in the cellar, a vaulted cellar near the Kiez in St. Pauli.
