El Encuestador: absurd theatre in Madrid

El Encuestador is a one-hour play in the Teatro del Absurdo tradition. Two characters, el Burgués and el Mendigo, meet in a park, and from that point nothing remains as it seems. El Burgués becomes certain that el Mendigo is hiding some mystery and starts a delirious conversation in which complaints, dreams of independence and a good dose of surrealism come to the surface.

The plot takes a funny turn when el Burgués decides to turn his home into a "realidad nacional" that demands recognition and rights of its own, while el Mendigo notes everything down with a mix of astonishment and resignation. The play is staged in Madrid.
