Ah si J'étais une Femme at Comédie de la Roseraie

Ah si J'étais une Femme is a new comedy by Julien Sigalas. Lola and Serge have been together for more than fifteen years. At first everything went well in their lives, but routine set in and they found themselves less and less on the same wavelength.

Lola could no longer stand seeing her man not put away his laundry, not do the housework, not know how to make himself an omelette. She leaves Serge, telling him "Ah si tu étais une femme, tu me comprendrais". Serge takes the phrase literally and goes to see a shaman supposed to heighten his feminine side.

It works, and in the eyes of others and of the world, Serge becomes a woman. He first enjoys all the advantages being a woman brings him, but can one hide forever? The comedy takes prejudices in the opposite direction and mocks man, woman and the future of both.
