Overview

L'Ile des Esclaves, a comedy presented by La Companie de l'Elan, runs at Théâtre du Nord Ouest in Paris from 16 August to 18 October 2026. Tickets start at EUR 25.30. The story takes place on an island where the social order is reversed: masters become slaves and slaves become masters. The Greek characters, the shipwreck and the character of Euphrosine lean towards tragedy, but the play is a comedy built on confused feelings, shifts of power between masters and valets, and the comic figure of Arlequin. The staging is by Bernard Lefebvre and Hélène Robin. The cast is Yassine Amani, Alexandre Durand, Marc Grèzes-Rueff, Phillippe Hazza, Adrien Lecoin, Bernard Lefebvre, Jean Marzouk, Marion Rif, Hélène Robin, Marwann Selmi and Clémence Thoison. Costumes are by Frédéric Morel.
