Alberto Cortés returns to the Théâtre de la Bastille with his new creation, *El corazón de Ester*, a piece destined to be performed only 50 times. Following his previous work *Analphabet*, Cortés turns away from darkness to explore a manuscript found in the English countryside, signed by a mysterious Ester who vanished without a trace.

The performance weaves together incandescent poems echoing the voices of Emily Dickinson and the Brontë sisters, where love becomes vaster than life itself. On stage, Cortés embodies a star that abandons itself entirely to the adoration of the audience, its brilliance fading from being worshipped. His queer mythology, hypnotic presence, and incendiary poetry continue to captivate, making this a new declaration of love to spectators.
