Throughout October, the Maurice Genevoix Library in Paris hosts a solo exhibition of naturalist illustrations by artist Kei. Fascinated by the living world, Kei presents a sensitive and meticulous look at insects—bumblebees, butterflies, ants, and bugs—through precise black-and-white drawings that reveal the richness of forms, textures, and details at the frontier between art and natural sciences.
The exhibition is part of the library's "La nature comme source d'inspiration" program, inviting visitors of all ages to see the living world differently and discover how it fuels artists' imagination. On Saturday 28 November, Kei will lead an illustration workshop for adults and children aged 8 and up, offering insight into her artistic process and an introduction to observational naturalist drawing.
Free and open to all, the exhibition is accessible to people with reduced mobility and those with mental disabilities. The workshop requires registration due to limited places.
