Robin Lundbäck, known professionally as Boy in Space, is a Swedish singer-songwriter and musician from Alingsås, Sweden.
Robin Lundbäck, who performs as Boy in Space, is a Swedish singer-songwriter and musician from Alingsås, Sweden. His moniker refers to his personality, which he has described as "spacey". Before beginning his solo career, Lundbäck was a member of the Swedish boy band JTR, which took part in the fifth season of The X Factor Australia and released two studio albums.
He was born and raised in Alingsås, where he also currently resides and creates music. In 2018 he released his first solo single, "Goodbye", followed that year by "Give Me" and "California". In 2019 he released the singles "7UP", "Drown" and "Cold", the last of which has received close to 90 million streams on Spotify.
He later released a remix of "7UP" made with Tiger Tom (Tom Lundbäck), his brother, who was also a member of JTR. A music video was released for the song "Caroline", which Billboard magazine described as "Alice in Wonderland-Inspired". The song "u n eye" has been described as a "R&B-infused pop track".
In 2019 Lundbäck performed at Musikhjälpen, where he also sang his single "On A Prayer", which in its original version features vocals and songwriting from Shy Martin. In 2021 he released a song titled "Paradise" with the Norwegian DJ Alan Walker and music producer K-391.
His studio album The Man Who Lost it All was released in 2026, and his extended plays are Live (2020), Frontyard (2021), Backyard (2022), Copium (2024) and The Butterfly Affect (2025). He supported Alec Benjamin on the Caught in the Middle World Tour in 2019 and Jeremy Zucker on the love is not dying European Tour in 2020, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
