Read full details
Gloryhammer bring their theatrical power metal to Manchester on Saturday 21 November, continuing the space-opera storyline built around the fictional kingdom of Fife that has run through the band's albums since 2013's Tales from the Kingdom of Fife. Formed by guitarist Christopher Bowes, who also fronts Alestorm, the Scottish band pairs symphonic keyboards and galloping riffs with a deliberately over-the-top narrative involving wizards, dinosaurs and time travel. Live, that translates into costumed performances and audience singalongs built around recurring characters such as Angus McFife. The band has built a loyal following on Europe's metal and festival circuit over the past decade through a mix of self-aware humour and genuinely accomplished musicianship. No support act is listed for the Manchester date.
