Jonathan Pie at Vaillant Live, Derby on 19 November 2026

Jonathan Pie appears at Vaillant Live in Derby on 19 November 2026 at 18:30. Pie is a fictional character played by English comedian Tom Walker, a political correspondent who rants about Western politics, with a focus on British, American and Australian topics. The character gives his personal opinions before or after filming a scripted news segment.

The first Pie report was released in September 2015, just after Jeremy Corbyn was elected Labour Party leader. After Donald Trump's 2016 election victory, a Pie video on the result went viral and became a YouTube trending video.

Pie's second tour, in 2018, was called Back to the Studio and took in 45 dates in the UK, five in Australia and six in the US. The BBC radio series Call Jonathan Pie casts him as the unwilling host of a phone-in show, and each episode opens with a warning about very strong language.
