The Mercato Mondiale del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba is the historic heart of the Fiera Internazionale del Tartufo Bianco d'Alba, the event devoted to Tuber magnatum Picco.
It takes place in the historic centre of Alba, where visitors can discover, taste and buy truffles from the woods of Piemonte. The 2026 programme is the 96th edition of the fair, organised by the Ente Fiera di Alba.
The market is open on weekends from 10 October to 6 December 2026. Fair opening hours are 9:30 to 19:30 on weekend days, with the last entry at 19:00. The venue is the Cortile della Maddalena, with the entrance from Piazza Falcone in Alba.
On the stands, the organisers list certified Tartufo Bianco d'Alba that can be bought directly from the Trifulau and from traders, with quality control provided by the Commissione Qualità. Other stalls offer a selection of local food products and wine producers from Langhe, Monferrato and Roero. The Grande Enoteca AIS Piemonte has an area for wine tasting, and a refreshment area serves traditional dishes made with Tartufo Bianco d'Alba.
An online ticket covers the market and also the MUDET - Museo del Tartufo di Alba, which the organisers mark as new for 2026. Online, a full ticket is €6,00 and a group ticket (more than 30 people) is €4,50, both plus presale and service fees. At the door, a full ticket is €6,00 and a group ticket is €5,00; this ticket does not include the MUDET. The MUDET is open on weekends from 10 October to 6 December, 10.30-19.00 (last entry 18.30), and on weekdays 10.30-18.00 (last entry 17.30), every day.
Entry is free for children and young people up to 15 years old, for people with disabilities and their companion, and for tourist guides and interpreters with a group. The fair admits dogs in line with current regulations, and they must be kept on a lead of at most 1,5 metres in public places.
The organisers also offer an optional wine-tasting coupon. It includes a tasting of 2 glasses at the Grande Enoteca, unlimited tastings at the producers' stands, and a free glass with a glass holder. It costs €10,00 online (plus fees) or €11,00 on site.
