Norway runs from the Skagerrak up past the Arctic Circle, a long, narrow country where glacier-carved fjords cut deep into the western coast and mountains rise straight out of the water. Summer brings the midnight sun in the north and open access to the outdoors under the country's right-to-roam tradition; winter brings polar night above the Arctic Circle, skiing and the aurora.
