Groundation with The Quasi Kings and Trinity Sound

Groundation brings its progressive roots reggae to Portland's Star Theater, joined by The Quasi Kings and Trinity Sound. Born from the jazz program at Sonoma State University, the band blends jazz-funk horns, Latin and African polyrhythms, and soulful harmonies into a sound that moves between roots reggae, dub, and improvisation. Their live shows are known for a high-energy, communal atmosphere.

The group has toured widely, playing main stages at reggae festivals across Europe and Brazil, and has released ten studio albums, including the acclaimed Hebron Gate. Their latest record, One Rock, features collaborations with reggae vocal groups Israel Vibration, The Abyssinians, and The Congos.
