Myles Smith
Myles Smith, born Myles Michael Smith-Thompson on June 3, 1998, in Luton, England, is a British singer-songwriter. Raised in a British-Jamaican household, he taught himself guitar and piano by age nine and began performing publicly at twelve, citing Ed Sheeran, Marcus Mumford and Chris Martin as influences. He earned a sociology degree from the University of Nottingham before briefly pursuing a corporate career.

Acerca de Myles Smith
His breakthrough came in 2022 when an acoustic cover of The Neighbourhood's "Sweater Weather" went viral on TikTok, leading to a management deal with Eric Parker and a recording contract with Sony Music UK. His debut EP, You Promised a Lifetime, followed in March 2024, and the single "Stargazing" reached number four in the UK and topped the US Billboard Alternative Airplay chart later that year.
His sound blends folk, pop and Americana influences. Further releases including the EPs A Minute... (2024) and A Minute, a Moment... (2025) and the number-one Billboard Alternative Airplay single "Nice to Meet You" preceded his debut studio album, My Mess, My Heart, My Life, which reached number two in the UK in June 2026.
He won the BBC Introducing Artist of the Year award in 2024 and the BRIT Rising Star Award in 2025, and has supported Ed Sheeran and Tom Odell on tour, performing across Europe, North America and Australia.
