Acerca de Trevor Horn
From 1981 Horn moved into full-time production, shaping recordings by Dollar, ABC, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Grace Jones, and Seal, and producing Yes's "Owner of a Lonely Heart," LeAnn Rimes's "Can't Fight the Moonlight," and t.A.T.u.'s "All the Things She Said." In 1983 he and his wife, Jill Sinclair, purchased Basing Street Studios, renamed it Sarm West, and co-founded ZTT Records with journalist Paul Morley. His early adoption of sampling technology, particularly the Fairlight CMI, earned him a reputation as one of the defining producers of 1980s pop.
Horn has won three BRIT Awards for Best British Producer (1983, 1985, 1992) and a 1995 Grammy Award for Record of the Year for Seal's "Kiss from a Rose." He received a 2010 Ivor Novello Award and was appointed CBE in 2011. He continues to record and perform, including with the Trevor Horn Band, formed in 2006.
