In line with World Athletics rules, refreshment points are provided from km 5 and then every 5 km along the course.
Participant kits are handed out only at the Expo Maratona, held at the Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto on 6 and 7 November from 10h to 19h; no kits are issued at any other time. On 7 November the Expo Maratona also hosts a Pasta Party for athletes from 12h00 to 16h00.
On race day, pacemakers carrying visible flags run to set finishing targets of 3:00, 3:15, 3:30, 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30 and 4:45.
