Michel Fugain, the French singer and composer behind "Une belle histoire," brings C'est l'histoire d'Une Belle Histoire to the stage.
He began composing after leaving medical school, and his first album, Je n'aurai pas le temps, was released in 1967. In 1972 he formed a troupe of singers and dancers called Le Big Bazar. His hit songs in France include "Une belle histoire," "Fais comme l'oiseau," "La Fête," "Bravo Monsieur le monde," "Les Acadiens," and "Le Printemps.
" Between 1988 and 2002 he toured extensively and appeared regularly on radio and television shows devoted to chanson and popular music. After a hiatus following the death of his daughter, he resumed his career in 2005 and launched the project Pluribus in 2013. He has sold ten million records over a fifty-year career, and in 2025 he was awarded the rank of Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters.
