Dallas

Dallas is a sprawling, car-built Texan city that's been quietly stitching together a handful of genuinely walkable pockets — glass towers and rooftop bars in Uptown, live-music dive bars and street art in Deep Ellum. It trades the postcard compactness of older US cities for scale: steakhouses, mega-malls and a skyline that lights up hard after dark. The energy here is unapologetically business-and-barbecue, with the JFK assassination site (Dealey Plaza) sitting a few blocks from gleaming financial towers.
