Informazioni su Manic Street Preachers

The band's debut, Generation Terrorists (1992), was followed by The Holy Bible (1994), now regarded as a landmark of British rock, and Everything Must Go (1996), their commercial breakthrough. This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours (1998) became their first number-one album in the UK, and the band has since added two more chart-topping records, The Ultra Vivid Lament (2021) and Critical Thinking (2025). Between 1991 and 2010 the band achieved thirty-four consecutive UK top-40 singles, and they have won eleven NME Awards, eight Q Awards, and four BRIT Awards.

Edwards disappeared on February 1, 1995, shortly before a planned promotional visit to the United States; his car was later found abandoned near the Severn Bridge, and he was legally presumed dead in 2008. The remaining three members chose to continue as a band and have set up a microphone in his memory at every performance since. Bradfield, Wire, and Moore have sold more than ten million albums worldwide and were the first major Western rock band to perform in Cuba, in 2001.

The band released Critical Thinking in February 2025, marking the thirtieth anniversary of Edwards' disappearance, and Wire and Bradfield have since discussed plans for a further, Europe-themed studio album as the trio continues to record and perform.
