Thomas Nicolai is a German comedian, actor, audiobook and radio-play narrator, author and voice actor, born on 8 December 1963 in Leipzig.

Thomas Nicolai is a German comedian, actor, audiobook and radio-play narrator, author and voice actor, born on 8 December 1963 in Leipzig. He trained at the Ernst Busch acting academy in Berlin from 1987 to 1991 and acted at the Grips-Theater in Berlin from 1991 to 1994.

He began performing as a comedian in 1989 and used the stage name "Der blonde Emil" from 1990 to 2002 before performing under his real name. In 1992 he appeared in the first season of the RTL show Wie bitte?! after being discovered by Rudi Carrell, and in 2004 he hosted the SAT.1 show Ei verbibbsch, which was nominated for the Rose d'Or.

His work includes Saxon-dialect books such as Sächsisch für Anfänger (2012), podcasts, and the novel Maulberg (2025). In 2022 he won the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik for the audiobook Der Sprachabschneider. His stage programme Kamisi premiered on 10 May 2024.
