In the Quarters of Kruununhaka turns Helsinki's streets into an open-air archive. The photographic exhibition, produced by the Helsinki City Museum as part of the OmaStadi participatory budgeting project, is displayed on electrical cabinets spread across the Kruununhaka district. Its 29 photographs, drawn largely from the museum's own collections, offer a window into roughly a century of local life, capturing nostalgic moments and showing how the urban environment has changed over the years.

Visitors can follow the cabinets from stop to stop with the help of a map, starting wherever they choose. The route threads through a historic Helsinki neighbourhood where the Crown once kept a horse pasture; today the same streets pass Senate Square, the cathedral and many of the city's older civic buildings, so the old images sit in evocative contrast with their present-day surroundings. A paper version of the map is available from the information desk at Helsinki City Museum.
