Petite Messe Solennelle de Rossini is a concert at Eglise Saint Sulpice in Paris on Saturday 24 October 2026, 21:45. Orchestre Hélios performs the work in its original version for soloists, choir, piano and accordion. With this mass, Rossini returned to sacred music, a genre he had set aside during his career as a composer.

The work exists in two versions. The first, with a modest ensemble that gives the piece its name, brings together four soloists (soprano, contralto, tenor, bass), a mixed choir, piano and an accordion. The other version was reorchestrated by Rossini himself and uses a larger ensemble.

Whichever version is played, the score lasts an hour and a half. Orchestre Hélios was founded in 2014.
