Belgrade International Book Fair 2026: 69th edition at Beogradski sajam, 23-31 October

The fair is organised by Beogradski sajam, with Ljiljana Šoškić as head of the project. It occupies exhibition halls 1, 1A, 2A and 4 and is open every day from 10:00 to 20:00.

Publishers from Belgrade, the wider region and abroad show their new titles on the stands. The fair also has a supporting programme of book promotions, presentations, lectures, round tables and panel discussions, where participants raise themes in literature, publishing and culture for both a professional and a general audience.

Since 2002 the fair has invited a guest-of-honour country, whose literature and publishing output receive a dedicated presentation in hall 2A, including author meetings, lectures and seminars. For 2026 the guest of honour is Republika Tunis.

Two themed days are built into the schedule. On 26 and 27 October the fair holds family days, when a family ticket costs 1.400 RSD; children up to eight years old enter free on every day of the fair. Školski dan, the school day held since 2005, falls on 29 October: exhibiting publishers present their programmes for pupils, teachers and librarians, and groups of at least 20 people pay 350 RSD per person, as on any other day.

The standard ticket costs 450 RSD, and car parking at the fairground is charged at 300 RSD per hour. In 2025 the fair recorded 861 exhibitors, 323 of them from abroad and from 15 countries, on 13.238 m2 of exhibition space, and counted 134.750 visitors. The fair has been held in Belgrade since 1957, when it moved to the newly built fairground.
