Halloween Céilí - Helsinki Harps Folk Group at Korjaamo Culture Factory in Helsinki on 31 October 2026. Doors 19:00, ages 18 and over. Sold out.
Halloween Céilí - Helsinki Harps Folk Group is a Halloween night of music, dance and mischief at Korjaamo Culture Factory in Helsinki on 31 October 2026. The event is sold out and carries an age limit of 18 and over. The Helsinki Harps Folk Group lead the evening in traditional costumes hand woven from oat straw grown and collected in Finland.
The night draws on Irish Halloween culture, harvest traditions and elements of the Kekri festival. The audience is given room to dance, sing along and take part in the celebration, which goes back to the pagan roots of the holiday known in Ireland as Samháin. Guests are invited to come in costume, with Samháin or Kekri outfits encouraged, though they can come as they wish.
Prizes are given for costumes, and there is a chance to learn traditional group Céilí dances. After the gig, the crowd gathers around a bonfire in the yard, and an open jam session on the lobby stage continues until 01:30. Céilí is pronounced "Kei-lih".
Doors open at 19:00, and the show starts at 20:00.
The event is for ages 18 and over.
The open jam session in the lobby runs until 01:30.
