Grand Rapids Ballet: Broken Wings, 25 October 2026

Grand Rapids Ballet: Broken Wings is a ballet performance at Peter Martin Wege Theatre in Grand Rapids on 25 October 2026, 14:00. It features surrealist imagery taken from Kahlo's art, a score by Peter Salem that incorporates elements of Mexican folk music, and characters from her life, including her husband and creative partner Diego Rivera. The program also includes a revival of James Sofranko's A Dreamer, inspired by the life and studies of theoretical astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, with a score by Philip Glass and Ludwig van Beethoven.
