The Australian Pink Floyd Show, also known as Aussie Floyd, is a tribute act dedicated to the music of Pink Floyd. It was formed in 1988 in Adelaide, South Australia, by guitarist Lee Smith, who advertised in a local music store for musicians willing to play only Pink Floyd material. The group performed as Think Floyd before adopting its current name ahead of a UK debut in 1993.

About Australian Pink Floyd Show

The band has toured more than 35 countries and sold over five million tickets across its history, playing festivals including Glastonbury, Sweden Rock Festival and Rock Werchter. It is the only Pink Floyd tribute act to have performed for a member of Pink Floyd, appearing at David Gilmour's 50th birthday celebration in 1996 after he had watched the group perform two years earlier.

In 2011 the group became the first touring act to use stereoscopic 3D projection live, in a show that also employs lasers, inflatables and large screen visuals modeled on Pink Floyd's own stage design. Its lineup has changed over time; keyboardist Matt Riddle recently replaced founding member Jason Sawford, and the group now numbers around twelve musicians spanning guitars, vocals, keyboards, saxophone and rhythm section.

Critics have generally praised the show's musicianship and visuals; one reviewer singled out the band's rendition of "Careful with That Axe, Eugene" and its projection work recontextualizing the material for modern audiences. Nearly four decades after forming, the group continues performing Pink Floyd's catalogue, from The Dark Side of the Moon to The Wall, on stages worldwide.
