About Mumford & Sons

The band's sound combines bluegrass and folk instrumentation, including banjo and mandolin, with the drive of alternative rock. Their debut album, Sigh No More (2009), established this style, and its 2012 follow-up, Babel, became one of the fastest-selling rock albums of its decade and won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Later releases, Wilder Mind (2015) and Delta (2018), moved toward a more electric sound, followed by Rushmere in 2025.

Mumford & Sons built their following through relentless touring of small clubs before breaking into arenas and festivals, headlining Glastonbury in 2013. The band also created Gentlemen of the Road, a touring festival series that brought concerts to smaller towns not typically visited by major acts.
