Toronto Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays are a professional baseball team based in Toronto, Ontario, and a member of the American League East division of Major League Baseball. Established as an American League expansion franchise in 1976, the team played its first game in 1977, drawing over 1.7 million fans that inaugural season, a record for an expansion team at the time.

About Toronto Blue Jays
The Blue Jays won back-to-back World Series championships in 1992 and 1993, becoming the first team based outside the United States to win a World Series. Hall of Fame players associated with the franchise include second baseman Roberto Alomar and pitcher Roy Halladay, alongside 1993 World Series hero Joe Carter. The team returned to the World Series in 2025, losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The franchise has played at Rogers Centre (originally SkyDome) in downtown Toronto since 1989, a stadium notable for its retractable roof. Since the Montreal Expos' relocation in 2004, the Blue Jays have been the only MLB franchise based outside the United States.
Owned by Rogers Communications since 2000, the team's current roster is built around stars including Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer, with recent additions such as pitchers Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce.
