Into the Chronosphere at Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Berlin

Into the Chronosphere is a theatre production by Sisi Bo'wale, staged at Ballhaus Naunynstraße in Berlin on Saturday, 21 November 2026, at 20:00. Tickets are currently no longer available. The piece opens with an exhibition launch, the opening of Into the Chronosphere.

The curator and the host speak fluently and drop intellectual references to impress the audience. As the central exhibit is about to be unveiled, something shifts in space and time, and the floor, at times firm and at times sandy, stretches and contracts. Guided by turtles, ticking clocks and the sound of their own voices, three protagonists travel through imperial archives, anthills and quantum computers in search of the origin of personal time.

Sisi Bo'wale and his team weave performance, music, poetry and psychedelic images into a wry, queer collage. The focus is the meaning of time and the protagonists' attempt to free it from a colonial linearity aimed at exploitation.

The production is Sisi Bo'wale's directing debut at Ballhaus Naunynstraße. He is an actor, filmmaker, visual artist and author who previously created the full-length solo performance Moonflavoured Mountains (2025).
