About the event

MONO "Snowdrop" European Tour 2027 Five years after two sold-out and unforgettable nights, Japan’s MONO return to Lisbon and Porto on February 10 and 11, 2027, respectively. Both dates are part of the international tour in support of “Snowdrop”, the band’s new album. Recorded at the iconic Electrical Audio studios, the album marks a deeply significant moment in the band’s history: it is their first work following the loss of legendary producer Steve Albini, a longtime collaborator whose impact indelibly shaped the sound of MONO.

For this new chapter, the band worked with producer Brad Wood, a close friend of Albini and someone deeply familiar with MONO’s creative universe. Preserving their signature analog essence and emotional intensity, “Snowdrop” expands their sonic language with the support of a 10-piece orchestra and an 8-voice choir, across eight expansive and immersive compositions. The album reflects feelings of gratitude and transformation — a journey where pain is reshaped into beauty, and uncertainty gives way to renewal, hope, and contemplation.

For nearly three decades, MONO have been crafting sonic worlds where post-rock meets the delicacy of classical music, in a unique harmony where minimalism transforms into catharsis. Formed in Tokyo in 1999, the band has built an extensive discography and performed countless tours worldwide, captivating audiences with powerful live performances where silence carries weight and stillness erupts into emotional intensity.

MONO will perform in Lisbon on February 10, 2027 at LAV, and in Porto on February 11, 2027 at Mouco. PROMOTOR: AMPLIFICASOM
