Spike Spookfest Halloween Trail

Spike Spookfest Halloween Trail is a family Halloween trail at Spike Island in Cork, running from 24 to 31 October 2026. Visitors take a ferry across Cork Harbour to reach the island, where parts of the fortress and former prison are transformed for Halloween. The trail is new for 2026 and is suitable for children aged 2 and over. Children can trick or treat around the fortress with their families, and tour guides hand out sweet treats along the way. Cork circus skills performer Circus Cake gives fire-juggling performances every hour along the trail. After the trail, the island has a café, a playground, child-friendly exhibitions and scenic walks.
