honestav: American musician Honestav

Honestav is the professional name of Avrey Freeman, an American musician from Pierce City, Missouri. He has said of his siblings, "They all wanted to be rockstars. " and "I was a little kid going and watching my sixteen-year-old brother play screamo shows in bowling alleys and pizza joints, I was hooked, I wanted it bad.

" He described his childhood household as "violent. " He began by writing poems at the age of 8, and by the time he was 12 he had written his first song. He started uploading his music at the age of 17 on Soundcloud, and at the age of 23 in 2021 he began posting his music on all streaming platforms.

After graduating high school he sold marijuana and later worked for a moving company for four years, then began posting videos to TikTok. In January 2024 his father died by suicide, and Freeman wrote "I'd Rather Overdose" and uploaded it to TikTok; the song appeared on Billboard music charts. He later signed with Rebel Music/gamma and opened for Mod Sun and Lovelytheband on the 2024 Here's Your Flowers Tour.

In October 2025 he performed at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. He opened for MGK on the Australia and New Zealand leg of the Lost Americana Tour.
