The Courettes
The Courettes are a garage rock duo formed in 2014 and based in Denmark, made up of the married couple Flavia Couri, on lead vocals and guitar, and Martin Couri, on drums. Flavia grew up in Brazil and met Martin, a Dane, while touring with a previous band; the pairing led her to relocate to Denmark and start the group.

About The Courettes
The band's sound merges raw garage rock and punk energy with 1960s girl-group aesthetics, doo-wop harmonies, and the layered "wall of sound" production style associated with Phil Spector and Motown. Their discography includes Here Are the Courettes (2015), We Are The Courettes (2015), Back in Mono (2021, mixed in Japan by wall-of-sound specialist Seike Sato), and The Soul Of... The Fabulous Courettes (2024).
The 2024 album featured a guest vocal appearance from La La Brooks of the 1960s girl group the Crystals and a writing collaboration with Brill Building songwriter Richard Gottehrer, co-writer of "I Want Candy." The Courettes record for the UK independent label Damaged Goods Records and have toured extensively across Europe, North America, and Japan, including festival appearances such as the UK's Rebellion Festival.
