In the piece, Desdemona, Emilia and Bianca — described as Othello's strangled wife, Jago's stabbed victim and Cassio's ex — meet a few hundred years later at a bowling alley. They had sworn to avoid the subject of men, but end up talking about their failed past relationships and the possibilities of new love. Old wounds reopen, there are spiteful remarks and jealousies, especially when Lodovico, the rich and much sought-after handsome man, appears.

A brief rivalry threatens, then the three women show solidarity again. Each devises her own personal Othello therapy, longing for another life and feeling close to happiness — until they lose their courage.
